Mouthing off

 

We are restarting Get Mouthy,
A spoken word open mic night in Leicester.
2nd Monday of every month
with the first event being Monday 10th July
at the big difference venue on High St. Leicester.

 

 

Our goal is to give people,

whether new to performing or regulars,

a safe space to speak, share their work and thoughts.

 

As part of this we will be starting a blog,

we will be introducing a secret poet box

to every event, where people that don't feel

ready to take the stage can hear their

words shared.

We hope to Interview local poets

and story tellers

So, they can share their journey.

 

This night is about the people that come to it,

We want to share what makes

the spoken word/poetry scene so special

and the events are just one part of it,

we aim to bring together poets and writers,

to share ideas and voices,

to help each other grow as artists.
